An unusual French musical box sewing companion, circa 1880, the turned and ebonised gilt mounted circular base raised on three turned feet and incorporating the twin tune musical box, below six grained doors opening on rotation, one with gilt musical trophy mount, the interior with two cut glass bottles (one with chips to neck), two gilt metal reel stands, a gilt metal frame oval mirror, a set of seven crochet hooks (steel handle lacking), three steel tools and a thimble, the whole below a turned finial, complete with musical box key, 18.5cms dia. at base, 30cms high. A Swindon Town Anglo-Italian Cup winner's medal, 1970, 18 ct gold, the obverse engraved with the trophy flanked by enamel Union and Italian flags, the verso engraved "I Torneo Anglo-Italiano Anglo-Italian Competition 1970, Esso Petroleum Co.", hallmarked 750, 31.5 grams, 38 mm diameter, contained in original fitted box, cushion stamped 'Faraone, Milano'.QTY: (1)NOTE:Very rare Swindon Town winner's medal from the inaugural Anglo-Italian Cup competition of 1970. The Anglo-Italian Cup was a European competition between English and Italian clubs, and came about as the winners of the Football League Cup, from 1967 received a place in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, but UEFA rules excluded Third Division winners of the League Cup, i.e. Swindon Town in 1969. As a way of compensating League Cup winners Swindon's exclusion from the Fairs Cup, the Anglo-Italian Cup was inaugurated the following year, with six English and six Italian clubs in the competition, with the teams with the highest points from each country contesting the final, which was played on 28 May 1970 in Naples between Napoli and Swindon.Swindon were winning 2-0 and when Arthur Horsfield scored the third goal for Swindon in the 63rd minute, disgruntled home fans began throwing rocks and bottles onto the pitch, and following two pitch invasions, the referee abandoned the game in the 79th minute, when Swindon were awarded the trophy.

A rare Sossun Pata sword, 19th century, Indian or Afghan, the substantial Indian blade recurved with a thick T-section spine, bearing a European inventory mark, the Afghan-style hilt with a faceted steel ferrule and a bone grip, fitted on to what was probably a captured trophy blade, with evidence of a pattern beneath the burnished finish, 80.5cm long

The driver was Eddie Hall (1900-1982), famous for his endurance racing on the Ards Circuit in Ulster and later as the first driver to complete the full 24 hours of Le Mans solo. A scarce piece of motoring memorabilia.

This example is a post-2004 facelifted version, in 105 (with the figure approximately equating to the horsepower) Trophy form. The Trophy trim level added a sunroof, 16in 'Grid-Spoke' alloy wheels, new rear light clusters, leather steering wheel, and side sill and rear bumper extensions. This car was registered in August 2005 and has had two previous registered keepers from new. Its MoT is valid until April 2023. The mileage is circa 53,000. The car presents well inside and out. The history folder includes the V5C and the combined owner's handbook/service book, which is stamped up to 15,182 miles in October 2007.
