CONDITION REPORT Small split to the rim, small dents and scratches throughout.

He then went on to run the family business of The Lothian Chemical Company. His main passion was however motor Racing, his wife, Doris also had a great interest and supported him in his racing and even helping build his racing cars. They were heavily involved over the years in Motor sport and now with her passing, they would like to know their books will give others as much pleasure in the future as they have to them over the years. His car of choice was Lotus. He was one of the first to build a Lotus Eleven and race it at Charterhall and other circuits. He went on to build a Lotus 18 and 22. He knew Jim Clark and others of a similar period in Racing. He was instrumental with others in forming and seeing the racing circuit built at Ingliston in the mid-sixties. He was also heavily involved in The Scottish Motor Racing Club and assisted organising race meetings. He also increased the profile of the club and motor racing in general that in turn saw it develop into a strong financial 'business' He was Chairman of the SMRC for two years and latterly Hon. Vice president of the SMRC and a member of the BRDC".
