A late 18th century Volunteer officer's sword of the Percy Tenantry; slightly curved single edged blade 29", etched blued and gilt with crowned "GR", trophy of arms, Royal Arms and foliage, gilt brass stirrup hilt with single bar guard, the chequered ebony grip with gilt band and oval engraved with crescent and "Percy Tenantry", crimson and gold bullion knot, in its gilt brass mounted leather scabbard. Good Condition (small patches of rust to blade, knot dull with some wear, scabbard leather limp and worn)
A good late 18th century officer's dress smallsword, hollow triangular blade 34 3/4", etched blued and gilt with trophy of arms and scrolls, and with simulated damascus pattern for the rest of its length, gilt hilt with engraved guard, slightly down turned quillons, and urn pommel, the guard, quillon terminals and pommel mounted with facetted steel beads, the chain knuckleow also formed of facetted steel beads, copper wire bound grip, in its engraved gilt brass mounted white painted parchment covered scabbard, the locket engraved "Langford, No 50, Fleet Street".
