A late Victorian trophy centrepiece and four dishes en suite, the principal circular lobed trophy bowl with repucee panels, decorated with fruits and foliage around a central swirled leafy engraved base, Shrove Cake Dumfriesshire, on four scrolling caryatid supports, engraved around base, Hunt Cup, 1896, 31cm diameter, 13cm high, London 1895 by John Newton Mappin with four smaller dishes en suite in a similar style, principal bowl 34 ounces, smaller bowls 13 ounces each. Condition Report: Overall condition good, no splits or cracks to the metal. Some scratches consistent with use. Four cups have small minor dents, mainly to rims, one cup has larger dent to rim than others.

dating: 17th Century provenance: Germany, Straight, double-edged blade with central fuller, first part engraved with inscription 'für gott und das vatterland' on one side and coat-of-arms and trophy on the other, short tang. Iron hilt with lower ring-guard and loop-guards, straight, ribbed quillons, enlarged outwards, the ends with a button. Faceted pommel. White metal, spiral grip. Remains of silver decorations. length 103.5 cm.
dating: 18th Century provenance: Germany, Slighlty curved, single-and short false-edged blade, tip, engraved with effigy of a Turkish at the forte on the right side, surmounted with esoteric symbol inside a rocaille frame, other esoteric symbols on the left side inside a frame, surmounted with a turban, stars and crescent, other symbols and arrow and bows trophy. Remains of engravings at the base. Remains of gilding. Solid silver hilt, stamped, with quillon with three loop-guards. Ivory grip (cracks and some part missing) with three, silver medallions. Silver ring-nut, engraved with a trophy. Short, silver cap with remains of stamps. length 69,2 cm.
dating: Early 19th Century provenance: Eastern Europe, Wide, slightly curved, single-edged blade with hollowed tip, engraved on both sides with a figure, trophy, stars, moon, letter 'K' and floral motifs; grip with wooden grip scales, brass, engraved pommel. Leather scabbard with brass foil mounts. length 37.5 cm.
dating: 19th Century provenance: Europe, Of circular, convex shape, with slightly raised central part and recessed edge, twisted border. Four buttons, engraved with a flower for enarmes. All the surface finely engraved with four medallions, with a knight on horseback, soldier with a wheel-lock rifle, trophy and mask among braided bands and floral motifs. A row of rivets. Lined with leather inside, painted and with two, leather enarmes (one broken). Old collection label (?). diameter 58.5 cm.
dating: Second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: France, Straight, double-edged blade, ribbed in the center, with remains of engraved rinceaux, effigy of a trophy and warrior, Brass hilt. Quillon decorated with leaves and with ends with relieved palmettes, quillon block with anchors, relieved on a dotted ground. Grip with mother-of-pearl, grooved grip scales. Pommel with palmettes and engraved with a flower on the back. Brass scabbard, engraved with floral motifs; front part with an anchor and trident among the canes. Two lugs. length 29,3 cm.
dating: Second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: England, Straight, double-edged blade, of lozenge section, with remains of engraved trophies and rinceaux through almost all the length. Flat, gilded, bronze quillon, chiselled with leaves in the upper part. Gilded, bronze ring-nut. Ivory, twisted grip (veining). Cap carved en suite with the quillon. Bronze scabbard with remains of gilding, engraved on the front surface with a flag trophy and shields, hemmed with leaves on a dotted ground. Two lugs. length 21,7 cm.
