Registration No: EVG 305H Frame No: JD26590 TR6R Engine No: JD26590 TR6R CC: 650 MOT: ExemptBeautifully presented pre oil-in-frame late model TR6R TrophyAuthentically restored as a bike to use for runs and ralliesFitted with 12v electrics and indicators, supplied with a V5CTriumph is one of the most iconic and revered names in the history of motorcycling. Established in Coventry in 1885, by the start of the 1900s the company had made its first motorcycle beginning a continuous run of production under various ownership until its eventual closure in 1983 before its rebirth in the early 1990s. In 1937 the Edward Turner-designed Speed Twin was released launching a range of Triumph twins that went on to epitomize British motorcycles in the post-war years. Many believe the various Bonneville, Tiger and Trophy models to be the ultimate version of the classic British vertical twin and the late 1969/1970 pre oil-in-frame models represent the peak of development of Triumph's most iconic model.Like many Triumphs built in the 1960s and early 1970s, this matching numbers Trophy appears to have spent most of its life in the USA before being repatriated in 2013. It has been restored to a good standard with a view to it being ridden with the addition of 12v electrics, indicators and period correct Dunlop K70s. This Trophy has been part of an enthusiast private collection of British classics for a few years, only selling now to make space in his garage for other projects, not run for a while it will need some recommissioning but the engine turns over on the kickstarter and it comes with a current V5C. The unit construction pre oil-in-frame models are some of the most sought-after bikes from the era. For more information, please contact: Ian Cunningham ian.cunningham@handh.co.uk 07415 871189
Registration No: RSK 638 Frame No: 14801NA Engine No: TR5-14805NA CC: 500 MOT: ExemptPurchased ‘as is’ by the vendor in 2004It was restored by the previous ownerGreat looking machinesV5C on fileLaunched in 1949 following a magnificent performance in the 1948 ISDT in Italy, where the Allan Jefferies lead team won the major trophy. The TR5 became a favourite with club riders, as an all-rounder that could be used for trials, scrambles, hill climbs and going to work. With its all-alloy engine and light weight it was quite a 'looker' too. This 1951 Triumph TR5 was purchased by the vendor in 2004 as part of his Triumph collection, he purchased it as a restored machine ‘as is’, not much is known of the machine previous to him. it was used for events from time to time and has been stored for a while, so some recommissioning will be required before use. It comes complete with a V5C. For more information, please contact: Mike Davis mike.davis@handh.co.uk 07718 584217
Registration No: GDP 91 Frame No: 17718NA Engine No: TR532888 CC: 500 MOT: ExemptOwned by the late owner for many yearsRestored a while ago to a good standard.Part of a private collectionCurrent V5C on file and written notesTriumph announced the TR5 Trophy in November 1948 at the Earls Court Show. The new machine was intended for clubmen riders wishing to compete in off-road events and was based on the machines that the ‘works’ team had successfully campaigned in trials and the 1948 ISDT. The 500cc engine featured a square alloy barrel taken from the wartime generator engine with early models retaining the cooling shroud bosses cast into the cylinder. The engine and transmission were housed in a new, rigid, frame design which featured a shorter wheelbase than standard. A high level, Siamesed exhaust system and a quickly detachable headlamp were fitted as standard and a range of parts were made available to enable the owner to tailor the machines performance to their chosen discipline. Given the new model's origins in the ISDT it is not surprising that it quickly earnt a reputation as an excellent long distance trials machine, although it was less suited to section trials. This Triumph on offer has been with the late owner for a few years and in his ownership he has maintained it to a good standard. Having formed part of a small collection of motorcycles, it was running in the autumn of 2023 and has been kept inside a residential house since then. It may require some light checking over before use and is offered with a current V5C and some hand written notes. For more information, please contact: Mike Davis mike.davis@handh.co.uk 07718 584217

Brunn, Sword Cutler to his Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, No. 55 Charing Cross London. Provenance. The Meldonfoot Collection, Phillips Scotland 1st October 1991 Lot 160.Presented to Admiral Sir Philip Charles Durham by The Duke of Clarence. Philip Durham entered the Navy in 1777 and as a Midshipman saw service in America and Gibraltar. As acting Lieutenant he survived the sinking of the Royal George in 1782. He was officially promoted in December 1783 and served on various ships until 1790 when he was promoted to Commander. He achieved post rank in 1793 and was appointed to the Anson, the largest frigate in the Navy, in 1794. It was in this ship in 1798 that he captured La Loire, a deed for which he was given this sword. He later commanded the Defiance at Trafalgar, where he was wounded. He continued his lengthy and distinguished career and in 1830 became a full Admiral and was appointed Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath. He died in 1845. The Duke of Clarence, later King William IV, was known as the "Sailor Prince". He entered the Navy in 1779, attained the rank of Captain in 1786 and was best man at Nelson's wedding in 1797. He gave a number of swords to naval officers who had distinguished themselves in various ways. At first these were similar to those given to officers of the 10th Light Dragoons by his brother, the Prince of Wales in 1792. Later the swords adhered to the 1805 and 1827 patterns. This particular sword was given to Durham in 1794 when he was summoned to Court and the Duke took off his own sword and sword belt and offered them as a mark of esteem. Only about half a dozen of these swords are known to exist and, as they were not inscribed with the recipient's name, only two others can definitely be ascribed to a beneficiary, these being those given to Admirals Duckworth and Collingwood. A unique opportunity to acquire a sword with Royal provenance, which is being offered for sale for only the second time in two hundred and thirty years.

**Please note this car was first registered in October 1936 although it is a 1937 model.** Just three owners from new, the first being 'Tarzan' stunt man, Gerald Gordon. A rare survivor with a fascinating history. The SA was launched in 1936, initially in a closed-head, saloon body variant only produced in-house by Morris. By the end of 1936, however, the range was extended by the addition of a Tickford DHC by Salmons and by the Charlesworth Four-Door Tourer offered hereThe SA used an enlarged and tuned version of the six-cylinder 2,062cc Morris QPHG from the Wolseley Super Six, now 2,288cc Only seven of this model were built and this one, #SA/0903, featured on the stand at the 1936 British International Motor Exhibition at Olympia, confirmed by a plaque on the dashboardIt was purchased from the stand by an adventurous individual called Gerald Gordon, who is understood to have been Tarzan's (Johnny Weismuller) stunt manHe immediately booked the car on the Queen Mary to the USA, driving it 19,000 miles around the States.
