dating: 19th Century provenance: Europe, Straight, single-and half-edged blade, with typical, rectangular tang provided on the back with two holes and fuller for a thumb. Iron hilt. Salient shell-guard decorated in relief, portray of Henry IV of France in the center, surmounting an arm trophy, engraved margin with a recessed band and with file roped, twisted border. Straight quillons decorated with rinceaux in relief. Twisted grip with iron wire binding. Pommel with relieved floral decoration. length 59 cm.
dating: late 18th Century provenance: Northern Europe, Curved, single-and false-edged blade, with fuller through almost all the length and with a second, thin fuller next to the back in the central segment, at the forte remains of finishing and rinceaux engravings, trophy of drums and flags with a crusade shield (Cross of Dannebrog?) in the center, all surmounted with a Turkish head. Base decorated with net. Brass hilt. One shell-guard decorated in bass-relief with a trophy of cannons and flags and one shell-guard, joined to the guard with two, counter-curved loop-guards. Brass grip, buttoned cap shaped as animal's head. length 93,5 cm.
dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: France, Curved, single-and false-edged blade, with fuller on almost all of its length, featuring small, floral engravings at the forte, a trophy and a shield with three lilies, surmounting the number '10'. Brass hilt, featuring quillon block on a side and an heraldic shield among relieved flags on the langet, a floral decoration and a cobweb on the other side. The guard featuring a small, floral decoration at the center, curved cap with floral decoration on dotted ground and shell-shaped edges. Checkered, wooden grip featuring gilt shield on a side. Leather scabbard with one ring and brass mounts (probably reassembled). length 83 cm.

First part engraved with crossed sabres, horse, moon, sun and trophy, tang; brass hilt with double shell-guard, completely engraved with grooves, oval pommel, grip with copper wire binding. length 98 cm.
dating: Early 19th Century provenance: Kingdom of Naples, Curved, single-and false-edged blade with double groove near to the back, first part engraved with an officer on a horse, star, trophy and braided bands. Brass hilt with remains of fire gilding, langets with a man with plumed helmet, grooved quillon and guard, pommel shaped as lion's head; ebony, checkered grip. Interesting, completely brass scabbard with remains of gilding, three plates in bass-relief in the front part, telling a Napoleonic battle, the first with Artillery field, the central one with battlefield, the last one back in the field after the victory. The rest and back part decorated with floral and geometrical motifs. Two suspension rings. length 100 cm.
dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: USA, Curved, single-and false-edged blade, with fuller, engraved at the forte, rinceaux drawings and trophies with remains of gilding on the left side, on the right side an American eagle with cartouche featuring the motto 'E PLURIBUS UNUM' loaded with a fifteen-star shield, a trophy at the base, also these engravings with remains of gilding. Some dent on the edge and traces of finished background. Brass, French type hilt with relieved flowers and guard provided with lateral loop. Short cap with laurel branches. dating: 18th Century provenance: Germany, Wide, curved, tipped, single-and false-edged blade, with fullers, engraved at the forte and featuring an anthropomorphic sun, a Turkish man holding an arrow and a scepter and a trophy with arc and arrows on a side, cabalistic symbols at the base and on the other side a star, a trophy surmounted by the chest of a Turkish man, other cabalistic symbols and a trophy. Iron hilt with small, pierced quillon, slightly curved, ebony grip with grooves and held by small, iron plaques. length 68,7 cm.
dating: 19th Century provenance: France, Straight, double-edged blade, probably of a sabre, of hexagonal section, richly engraved and partially gilded for two thirds, featuring the name 'LOUIS THEREMIN' on the right side on a dotted background around a rinceaux frame on the remains of gilding, letters 'R.W.' next to the base, a deer with gilded base on the background, on the upper part of the blade the sun with anthropomorphic face. An arm trophy on a dotted background on the left side, same rinceaux frame and armed hunter on the background, the sun above. Remains of gilding. Brass hilt with straight, octagonal quillons, small shell-guard with a deer in relief. Ebony grip, checkered and grooved, brass cap. Leather scabbard (defects) with brass mounts. length 72,5 cm.

Silver, gilded hilt, shell-guard with deer's head on a hunting trophy, quillons ending in a hound's head, pommel with big lion's heads, ebony grip embossed with scales, with silver ring-nuts and bands, gilded and engraved. Wooden scabbard covered with reptile skin, sewn with copper thread, beautiful, silver, gilded mounts, decorated with floral motifs in bass-relief. Two suspension rings. length 77 cm.

VOCATURO' and engraved with warrior and floral motifs; wooden, full stock with grooved butt, nice, brass mounts engraved en suite. Flat, iron, engraved butt-plate. Iron ramrod. THE PROPERTY OF A EUROPEAN COLLECTOR A FINE 18 BORE FRENCH SILVER-MOUNTED ROYAL FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOL MADE FOR JOHN V, KING OF PORTUGAL (1689, 1706-50) BY LE HOLLANDOIS A PARIS AUX GALLERIES CIRCA 1726 with lightly swamped barrel octagonal over the breech, formed with a long shaped flat decorated with gilt scrollwork, monsterhead tendrils, a mask and the barrelsmiths monogram (Neue Støckel 8128) the underside of the barrel with some early blued finish, engraved tang decorated with a classical profile and with the inventory number '31', bevelled lock decorated with a delicate dog tooth border, chiselled with a monstrous espagnolette mask on a gilt ground on the tail, signed in a rectangular frame observed by a putto above and with a trophy-of-arms on the right, chiselled and gilt cock, chiselled top-jaw and steel , the latter en suite with the tail, engraved faceted pan, highly figured walnut full stock moulded over the fore-end, carved with delicate leafy tendrils and strapwork about the rear ramrod-pipe and the tang, decorated with a small scalloped moulding ahead of the lock side-plate and behind the tang, full silver mounts cast and chased in low relief against a finely matted gilt ground (rubbed, gilding missing in some places), comprising side-plate decorated with two trophies-of-arms within a dogtooth framework, spurred pommel decorated with tendrils matching the stock, trophies-of-arms, a mask on each side, and a further trophy on the cap, trigger-guard decorated with a framed profile portrait of Diana the huntress beneath a canopy with a trophy-of-hunting suspended from the frame, two ramrod-pipes decorated with leafy tendrils carrying a monstrous mask, and escutcheon decorated with the crowned Royal Arms (later ramrod) 31.0 cm; 12 ¼ in barrel Provenance Rainer Daehnhardt By tradition this was presented to King John V of Portugal in 1727 following the fire that devastated the Portuguese Royal Manufactory the preceding year. Le Hollandois was the son of the gunmaker of the same name who worked in partnership with Thuraine in the third quarter of the 17th century, perhaps best known for the remarkable pattern books that bear their names. The younger Le Hollandois was called Adrien Reynier, and is recorded in Paris as a journeyman in 1705, received French nationality 1711, became Arquebusier Ordinaire du Roi 1723 and was given a logement at the Louvre on 18th January 1724, as successor to Bertrand Piraube. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Good overall condition, surface wear, scratches and some minor dents, particularly to near one of the handles, engraved presentation details are clear, as are the hallmarks. Wear to the base and dings and dents, but generally okay.
