dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Wide, curved, tipped, single-and false-edged blade, with double fuller at the weak and broad single fuller on the rest of its length, finely engraved at the forte; with crowned Savoy shield surrounded by a wreath of laurels on the left side, surmounted by racemes ending with the effigy of a torch and preceded by a trophy of arms and flags, other trophies of arms and flags and floral decorations on the right side, engraved with leaves at the back. Few small pitting areas. Iron hilt with guard equipped with three additional quillons. Long faceted cap, anatomical hilt made of checkered wood. Octagonal button. Some pitting. Iron scabbard (the quillon's button strikes the mouthpiece) with two lugs. length 99,5 cm.
dating: early 20th Century provenance: Ethiopia, Well preserved, wide blade with fuller and featuring long bands engraved on both sides; with racemes, a trophy, a British emblem and the mark 'FIRST CLASS CAST STEEL' on the left side, then with an inscription in Amharic, a mark at the tang. With other racemes and a trophy on the right side and another Amharic inscription at the tang. Horn hilt with silver cap engraved with spirals. Leather scabbard (damages, signs of use and age) complete with belt and silver chape worked en suite with the sabre. length 83 cm.
dating: 1820-30 provenance: Sardinian Kingdom, Curved, single-and short false-edged blade, with fuller on most of its length, with the motto 'Viva il Re' clearly visible between a trophy and a flower on the left side, with the Savoy eagle surmounted by a crown and placed between similar friezes on the right side. Brass hilt with guard featuring a single quillon provided with a small valve. Ebony hilt (veins), half smooth and half featuring copper wire binding (one segment detached). Long, smooth cap. length 87 cm.
