An Edwardian salver, With marks for Sheffield 1907, maker Martin & Hall, of shaped circular outline with foliate, shell and C-scroll cast edge and pie-crust moulded border, raised on three foliate scroll cast feet; a Georgian style sauceboat, Birmingham 1930; together with a twin-handled trophy cup, Sheffield 1908, raised on an ebonised plinth base applied with a plaque inscribed SHILLONG POLO TOURNAMENT, MAY 1909 (3) 42.5oz total.

ANCIENT COINS, Roman, Julius Caesar, Denarius 3.70g, Greece, 48 BC, diademed female head right, wearing oak-wreath, LII behind, rev Gallic trophy, axe on right, CAE-SAR below (Cr 452/2; RCV 1400). Slight corrosion at edge between 5 and 8 o’clock, toned, good very fine. The numeral on the obverse of this coin refers to Caesar’s age in 48 BC
