Between 1960 and 1964 Alma studied under Robert Stewart at Glasgow School of Art. Alma has exhibited at many solo and mixed British and Scottish art exhibitions. In the process Alma's paintings have won many art awards including: Barclay Lennie Award Glasgow Society of Women Artists 1995; Millers Art Prize Paisley Art Institute 1995; Southern Art Club Trophy 1995 &1998; Alva Purchase Prize SAAC 1998; Save the Children Award 2000. Each with two leaf-capped flying scroll handles, a moulded band and stepped foot, the mustard in the form of a small trophy-cup with a domed cover, mark of Elkington & Co, Birmingham 1898-1900, the three 185g gross; together with two associated silver small spoons, various dates and makers and another plated; in a brown leather cartouche shaped fitted case with velvet and blue silk lining marked 'Elkington & Co.' Condition Report: Overall good condition for age general light wear and tear commensurate with age and use, All of a good solid guage, both the salts interiors require a good clean and show traces of former gilding. The mustard 'wobbles' very slightly on a flat surface.. Marks good though the maker's mark on one salt rubbed but legible. Spoons good. Box good, hinge solid, closes with a satisfying 'snap', some of the interior a little worn and spoon elastics are stretched and one broken. general external scuffs including on the top front 'crease' (see photos) as expected for a box in use for 120 years.

A rifle of good shooting history. This rifle was used to win the Holbrook Trophy six times at the MLAGB Short Range Championships setting a new British record of 97/100 at the 2017 event.UK FIREARMS LICENCE WITH .577/ .58 RIFLE VARIATION OR RFD REQUIRED 140.5cm long The rifle is in excellent general condition with only small signs of use. The bore is very good with a strong rifling pattern. There is some surface marks which look to be dirt rather than pitting, there exterior of the rifle is in good state with only light surface speckling to the polished ramrod and the case hardened hammer. The stock has some occasional dents and marks but nothing major or defacing.
