First Cup Final at Wembley, 1923 FA Cup Final, Bolton Wanderers v West Ham United. Bolton Wanderers photographic album with press photos of the Bolton team coupled with amazing scenes at Wembley on the day (the crowd sat on the pitch next to the side-lines and also behind the goal, action photos of the match, photos of the crowd queueing to gain entry to Wembley, also aerial photo of Wembley (taken from the airship) showing the crowd on the pitch. Also has photos showing the Bolton players before the match with the 'lucky black cat' mascot, and other photos of a never to be forgotten match including the Bolton players forcing their way through the crowd so as to receive the trophy. Worth viewing, you will never see scenes like this at another FA Cup Final, the only one which was not all-ticket and had an official attendance of 126,000 but many consider it was around 150,000. A unique, iconic collection. Good.

A Harbour Scene, probably the Hongs of Canton: Mid-19th Century Chinese Carved Sandalwood Fan, Qing Dynasty, the double paper leaf with a central vignette depicting a skyline of magnificent buildings, fronting onto water, flags flying, all manner of craft afloat, fishing boats, a ferry, and what appears to be a floating palace, with gilded entrances, rich red curtains, and a courtyard obscured from watching eyes. This vignette is surrounded by a border of flowers and butterflies, painted with great attention to detail. The verso, a formal scene with a dignitary seated centrally, figures with applied painted ivory faces and silk robes, includes very unusual scenes of figures in elaborate robes, one balancing on a horned toad, holding aloft a trophy, this area featuring a tall column and an elaborate pagoda. To the left side of the verso, perhaps an Emperor, an attendant behind with a large fan, the robes and headdresses particularly detailed. A final scene shows a man of import, with attendant, waves at his feet, and a mythical fish or other beast. The inner sticks are lightly carved, the guards heavier allowing for deeper carving. The shaped metal loop is secured to the rivet by large domed buttons. Guard length 28cmGood with signs of professional repair, as five of the carved inner sticks have been pieced with wood of lesser carving and lighter colour. The leaf is rubbed on the folds but holds good colour.

WW2 Third Reich TeNo Technische Nothilfe Subordinates Hewer. 25cm long blade maker marked "Original Eickhorn, Solingen" and TeNo Eagle with "Ges. Gesch". Complete with scabbard with serial number "5338" to throat. No number to dagger blade. One screw missing from chape. Along with correct leather hanger. Retaining strap a/f. Clip is Assmann maker marked. The correct Troddel for Bereitschaftsdienst is tied to hanger. War Trophy of a member of the Royal Tank Regt.
WW2 Third Reich Hitler Jugend Knife. Early example with motto "Blut und Ehre" to 135mm long blade. Maker marked "Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, Ges. Gesch". Reverse grip has been period replaced with a smooth black plastic. Complete with scabbard. War Trophy of a member of the Royal Navy who took it from a member of the KM when the German ship surrended to his vessel in 1945.

GC, the hilt retaining approx 40% gilt.
