White Rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum), Limpopo Region, circa 1930, by Rowland Ward, horns on original shield, anterior horn 66.5cm, posterior horn 43cm, the oak shield with RW gouged mark See illustration (32216-3) and illustration of photographs taken during the 1930 Limpopo hunting expedition These trophies were shot by the vendor`s great-grandfather who took an annual safari in Africa at that period, and Rowland Ward was commissioned to mount his trophies. The illustration accompanying this horn was taken from original glass plate camera photographs of the trophy animal.

Reinhard D.O.A. 1913 See illustration CITES Appendix 1 Annex A (Exempt) This trophy was acquired by Fritz Reinhard of the Infantry Regiment 113 (Baden). Reinhard was appointed as captain of the protection unit for German East Africa and served in the German colonies (before World War I) where he also hunted.
