dating: last quarter of the 18th Century provenance: England, Fine, smooth-bore, two-stage, 17 mm cal. barrels, of Spanish production, octagonal in the first segment, then faceted, with frames of acanthus leaves, relieved at the girdle on a gilded ground. Octagonal part with gold-inlaid rinceaux, two stamps, one gold-inlaid and crowned, with letters 'PS TB VA', the other only with letters 'BA'; slightly bell-mouthed nozzle, gold-inlaid as the base. Tangs engraved with flowers on a grained and gilded ground. Stocks and locks of English production. Stocks with frames and trophy on the plate and with gilded cartouche with date 'ANO 1784'; engraved en suite also the cocks and batteries. Spark arrester, gilded pans, anti-friction casters. Wooden, full stocks (some small crack) with checkered grip. Iron mounts with trigger-guards engraved with trophies, butt-plates with floral decoration. Escutcheons and plates for silver barrel's locking mechanism. Brass-tipped wooden ramrods. length 34 cm.

Iron hilt with elliptical sword-shell with beaded decoration. Guard decorated with facets. Pommel and grip en suite with the sword-shell. Leather scabbard with iron mounts. Two lugs. length 93,5 cm.

Rare French Revolutionary / Napoleonic Wars M.1783 Naval Cutlass, good quality two bar brass hilt, the underside of the guard engraved ‘Ame du Port de Toulon’, and numbered ‘302’, rear struck with a French acceptance stamps. Some tiny chips to the edge of the blade, small period repair to top of guard, otherwise good condition. Probably a trophy from the British seizure of Toulon in 1793. See ‘Les Armes Blanches de la Revolution’, p. 102, for a similar example.

1966 World Cup Committee Members Suit Cloth Badge: Featuring the World Cup logo with World Championship Jules Rimet Cup England 1966 sewn in. On centre ball which sticks out is the trophy. All surrounded by the Union Jack. Still attached to a piece of the Burtons suit. For owners of a tournament programme you will see on page 15 a Committee member wearing it. Stunning item and maybe the only one left in existence.
