A fine gutta percha “Union” ambrotype case, 5” x 6¼”, embossed with trophy of crossed cannon, anchors, lances, liberty cap etc within oval medallion, with American eagle, shield and stand of flags in lower angles, and angels with trumpets in upper angles, containing an ambrotype of a seated American gentleman within gilt and embossed frame backed by printed paper label of S. Peck & Co, the lid with impressed velvet lining. Generally GC (the lid with old riveted repair to break along one side).
