19th Century Dutch Court Sword with brass decorated hilt and shell guard decorated with the coat of arms of the Netherlands. Would of once had mother of pearl inlay to the handle, this is now absent. Blade is of triangular form with blue and gilt decoration showing a trophy of arms etc. Blade shows some surface staining. Blade measures 80 ½ cm approx, total length 95cm.
Imperial German Naval Officers Sword with gilt knuckle bow and guard, Imperial Crowned anchor to the guard. Lion head with jewelled red eyes. Grip retains the original wire. Complete with the fold down guard to the reverse. Leather scabbard with brass mount fittings. Blade has early WKC makers trade mark to the base. Etched blade with sailing ship, foliage and crowned anchor to one side and the other having sailing ship, foliage and trophy of arms. Some surface staining to the blade but generally good condition.

Lawn Tennis Silver-plated tankard trophy by James Dixon & Sons - with hinged lid engraved^ "Riding Mill Lawn Tennis Club - Ladies' and Gentlemen's Pairs - Won by - Mr & Mrs W.O.E. Meade-King - 14th. August 1886." Riding Mill is a small village about 16 miles away from Newcastle-on-Tyne in Northumberland. Sir William Oliver Evelyn Meade-King was a competitor in the early'Northern Lawn Tennis Association' tennis tournaments at Kersal^ Manchester^ and at Liverpool. He was born in 1858 and died on 10th. April 1940^ aged 82. The tankard measures 15.3 cm high. This lot includes copies of two obituaries outlining the notable events during his lifetime. Also included with this lot is a trophy tankard engraved^ "COCOS 4th Quarter 1919 American Tennis Handicap Doubles - A H L Savage & C H Wookey (4)
French silver-plated tennis trophy consisting of a trophy bowl supported by three mesh-strung lawn tennis rackets which stand upon a circular metal base with a wooden plinth below. The wooden plinth has two engraved plaques attached. The first reads^ "En Souvenir de mes Premieres Parties en 1900 - Louise Aversenq-Villeneau" (In Remembrance of my First Parties in 1900 Louise Aversenq-Villeneau) The Second plaque read^ "Coupe Lilly - Tennis Club de St Jean D'Angely". Small lawn tennis silver-plated 1884 chalice trophy in the form of a bowl supported by a single knopped stem. The bowl is engraved with ferns and the words^ "W. A. Lawn Tennis - W. Gerald Barker - July 1884." Major Willian Gerald Barker of the'Wirral Archers' Lawn Tennis Club^ was a very active lawn tennis player during the 1880s. He played mainly at clubs in the north of England^ such as Buxton^ Moffat - Scotland^ Liverpool and Manchester. Probably his best recorded result was in reaching the final of the Liverpool Cricket Club Tournament in 1883 when he was finally defeated by none other than James Bruce Ismay of the White Star Line and Titanic fame. He was born in 1859 and died in 1951 at Torquay^ Devon^ measuring 14.0 cm
