[GEORGE VI]: (1895-1952) King of the United Kingdom 1936-52. An electroplate silver twin handled trophy, ornately engraved with floral patterns and an inscription 'H. W. S. S. D. M. Tuckfield, presented by Prince Albert', and date 7th June 1919. With spiral handles and tapered circular cup down to a circular base. Some age wear to the rim, otherwise VG. Prince Albert presented the trophy to a successful competitor at the sports meeting of the Hospital Welfare Society for Lewisham, Deptford and Greenwich.

MEREDITH BILLY: (1874-1958) Welsh Footballer, one of the early superstars of the game who played for Manchester City and Manchester United. Meredith won each domestic trophy in the English Football League throughout his career. Scarce blue fountain pen ink signature ('With Best Wishes, Billy Meredith') on a piece, adding 51 Internationals and the date, 19th September 1936, alongside his signature. Neatly laid down to the title page of a hardback edition of Football Wizard - The Billy Meredith Story by John Harding, published by Robson Books Ltd., London, 1998. Accompanied by the dust jacket. Nicely signed in black ink by Mullery to the front cover. Also a 10”x8” mono copy photograph signed by Mullery of him holding the trophy surrounded by supporters . FIELD PHOTO HOMES: A bound volume of Ds.S. by various individuals associated with John Ford's non-profit corporation Field Photo Homes Incorporated, 72 pages (total), 4to, various places (California), 1944 - 1960. The typed documents include the State of California incorporation certificate for the company, dated 30th November 1944, the By-Laws of Field Photo Homes, various Minutes of Meetings of the Directors, including the first meeting held on 20th December 1944 at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, some accounts and expense figures etc.. Each of the documents are signed by one or more individuals associated with the corporation including John Ford (1894-1973) Irish-American Film Director, Academy Award winner (10 signatures), John Wayne (1907-1979) American Actor, Academy Award winner (1 signature), Merian C. Cooper (1893-1973) American Aviator & Film Director of King Kong, 1933 (7 signatures), Frank Wead (1895-1947) American Naval Aviator and Screenwriter, Schneider Trophy winner, 1923 (5 signatures), James McGuinness (1893-1950) American Screenwriter & Film Producer (6 signatures), Guy Thayer (Film Editor; 3 signatures), Fred Totman (Ford's business manager; 21 signatures) and C. E. Wingate Smith (4 signatures). There are also two pages of signatures by various members of Field Photo Homes Inc. who were present at a General Meeting on 18th March 1952, including Harry Carey Jr and Leif Erickson. The first and concluding pages of the volume show signs of age wear and damp staining, however the majority of inside pages are clean. Some further age wear and faults to the covers, FR to generally G John Ford had established and led The Naval Field Photographic Reserve Unit during World War II. In February 1945 he took a leave of absence from the Navy to film They Were Expendable. Ford used his salary from that picture to create the Field Photo Home, a club for the veterans of the Field Photographic Unit, based at his Farm in the San Fernando Valley, California.

Loggiadating: third quarter of the 18th Centuryprovenance: North ItalySmooth, two-stage, octagonal and round barrel with rings at the girdle, decorated with silver tarsia depicting floral motifs and a trophy at the base, strongly bell-mouthed nozzle; round, flat lock with swan-neck-shaped hammer, signed "G.M. Loggia"; briarwood butt (defects and restorations), decorated with filigree, iron mounts and ribbed borders; complete with a hook for the belt, a button at the neck and iron ramrod. G. M.
