Schneider Trophy 35mm Slides: A box of over ninety 35mm monochrome slides mounted in plastic with glass protectors. The collection belonged to author Derek N James (1924-2016 ) who wrote several books including Bristol, Gloster, Schneider & Westland titles. Derek worked for Gloster and was later public relations officer for the SBAC and ROTOL. Derek was also the editor of Wingspan magazine and a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society for over 60 years. Another apsect of Dereks activities was giving lectures where these slides were shown in his " Schneider 50 years on talk ". How the slides got put into 35mm format is not known.

These were copies the author took to his presentations to sell so can be classed as new/unread. The books are unsigned. Westland Aircraft since 1915 two copies, Schneider Trophy Aircraft 1913-1931 two copies, The Flying Machine in Gloucestershire two copies, Hawker Aircraft Ltd two copies, Sea Hawk two copies. One copy each of Fighter Master Folland, Westland A History, The Bristol Aeroplane Company, Spirt of Hamble Folland Aircraft. The Topham Trophy: A white metal horse racing trophy, modelled as an abstract horse race, engraved THE TOPHAM TROPHY 1967 WON BY GEORGETOWN OWNED BY E WILKES, stamped monogram, 21cm high 64cm long (cased) The Topham Chase has been run at Aintree since 1949, one of only three races run over the Grand National fences. As a keen benefactor of the arts Mirabel Topham introduced the annual competition to design the trophy for that year's race, the winning entry being presented at the April meeting at Aintree. The 1967 race was won by Georgetown, owned by E.Wilkes, trained by N.Kusbish and ridden by P.Mahoney.
