Price, July 8, 1916." Jefferson City Country Club was founded in 1911. Missouri Governor Herbert Hadley was the club's first president. This tournament was played on Sand Greens. Walter Hagen set a course record here in 1930. Horton Smith, the first Master's winner, was the club's first golf pro. Nancy Lopez won her first major tournament here.Condition: A few small dings; very good.

Stamps at the lower part. Box-lock mechanic; remains of engravings depicting a trophy on the right side; signed "WHEELER" inside an ellipsis at the left plaque. Back hammer and batterie, both made if iron, with external secure-lock. Curved, smooth, wooden grip. The lower part of the barrel featuring an iron spring bayonet, held by the trigger guard. Box-lock frame, with numbers "2" and "3" on the barrels, decorated with frames and a trophy with flags on both sides, featuring remains of the signature "Bo...e" on one side and "LONDON" on the other. Butt-plate with oval shapes featuring faces, floral motifs, armors and a mask at the center. The counter-plate pierced with two figures on cannons, flags and other objects. Antoine dating: 18th Century provenance: France Smooth, two-stage, 9 mm cal. barrels, both of round shape; the first segment is thicker, the second one thinner. With small moulded muzzles. Round butt-plates with flattened sides and remains of finishing; engraved with trophy featuring remains of gilding at the back; tangs with gilded outlines. Locks with roundish plate, one with the signature "F. ANTOINE", and the other one "A TARASCONA". Hammers with ribbed neck (both with a small vein). A fine and elegant presentation smallsword, given by Luis XVI dating: 18th Century provenance: France Straight blade, of triangular section with hollow faces, featuring remains of the finishing ground on half of its length. One side featuring a row of engraved and frame lilies, the French coat of arms with three lilies, surmounted by a crown and among laurel, with remains of gilding; completely gilded at the base and featuring a trophy with drums and flags. The other side featuring a row of framed lilies and the gilded writing "Ex Dono Regis", crowned French coat of arms; completely gilded at the base and engraved with the writing "LECOURT / Fourbisseur / Du Roy / Rue St. / Honoré / Pres Celle / Des Pauties / Au Grand / Monarque / A Paris". Iron hilt; butt-plate with two valves, finely decorated in bas-relief with framed trophies and surrounded by flower inlays on one side and with three, crowned French lilies and decorations en suite on gold ground on the other side. Quillon, guard and arms of the hilt decorated en suite, with relieved frames and small trophies on gilded ground. Olive-shaped pommel with frames, decorated with the King's profile and featuring remains of gilding. Grip with moor's heads ad metallic wire binding. dimensions: length 95,8 cm.

A very rare flintlock gun by Giovanni Maria Loggia dating: first quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Brescia Extraordinary, smooth, round, 16 mm cal. barrel, the visible part is entirely chiselled with the effigy of a figure, masks, trophy, angel, birds, helmet, axe, torch and floral motifs on granulated ground, with foresight; flintlock signed "G. M. LOGIA", chiselled and decorated with brass-plated open-works featuring floral engravings; full stock of antique shape, chiselled with floral motifs and frame, with brass mounts featuring floral engravings. A fine double barrelled flintlock gun from the property of the noble family Ruffo from Calabria dating: circa 1800 provenance: Southern Italy Round, smooth, 14 mm cal. barrels with squared and twisted base; rib; Naples stamps among gold lilies at the base; foresight; signed "PIERRE KENZE"; engraved tang with sight; flintlock with round plate; wooden half stock sculpted around the tang and covered withleather at the butt, decorated with filigree and floral motifs, featuring a pendant under the barrels, resembling the coat of arms of the Ruffo family from Calabria; beautiful, steel mounts, finely engraved and carved with floral motifs, butt-plate with trophy, silver shield with monogram "JR" engraved with flowers and featuring a bow at the back. Breech and tang with broad sight, engraved with rays and frame. Lock with flat plate signed "BARTRUM" with frame at the border, engraved with stars at the tang and rays. Smooth hammer, the head of the screw is missing and secure-lock with external slide. Wooden full stock, richly decorated with thin, twisted inlays. A shield in-relief at the neck, made of silver. Silver butt-plate with stamps, engraved with half-moon and stars. Trigger guard with recall in-relief and stamps. Silver counter-plate, decorated in bas-relief and pierced with trophies, with stamps at the first part. Another back plate at the butt, depicting a trophy, stars and a silver half-moon on both sides; several plaques depicting flowers at the front. Silver-tipped, wooden ramrod. dimensions: length 51,5 cm.

ARTIST UNKNOWN watercolour / mixed media - a two masted schooner at sail, entitled ‘The Twelve Apostles of Pwllheli, Commander John Williams, 1891’. Accompanying the painting is a white metal lidded trophy cup inscribed within an oak garland ‘50 Captain John Williams, Twelve Apostles’, 46 x 62 cms. Auctioneer’s note: see pages 74, 75 & 219 of Immortal Sails by Henry Hughes. The ‘Twelve Apostles’ was built in Pwllheli in the late 1880s and was wrecked at Hell’s Mouth in 1898.
