Stainforth thanks his correspondent for their letter and asks if he will 'convey to the Flag Officers and Committee of the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club my thanks for their hospitality', adding that he enjoyed his visit very much. Together with a second, brief A.L.S., G. H. Stainforth, one page, 8vo, South Farnborough, 20th June 1933, to Miss [Eileen] Cond, on the printed stationery of the Experimental Section, Royal Aircraft Establishment. Stainforth thanks his correspondent for her letter and forwards the autograph she requested; Owen Cathcart-Jones (1901-1985) English Aviator who set several World Records for Long Distance flights in the 1930s. T.L.S., Owen Cathcart-Jones, one page, 4to, Feltham, Middlesex, 11th June 1933, to Miss. Eileen M. Cond, on the printed stationery of The Hanworth Club at London Air Park. Cathcart-Jones thanks his correspondent for her letter and best wishes for his flight to Australia and continues to remark 'You must not believe half the rather vulgar things which appear in the newspapers, but if we do go on this flight it will be in September, and then, will only be quite a private flight from Berlin, Australia and back'. He concludes 'I sincerely hope that my signature will not disfigure your book in any way, and that you will kindly not place it next to those of Mollison, Crippen, or Randolph Churchill'. Together with a second, brief T.L.S., Owen Cathcart-Jones, one page, 8vo, Park Lane, London, 8th November 1934, to Miss. Eileen M. Cond, on the printed stationery of Grosvenor House. Cathcart-Jones thanks his correspondent for her letter of congratulations. Two paperclip rust stains to the edges of the letter, one slightly affecting the signature; Ken Waller (1908-   ) British Chief Test Pilot, participated in the MacRobertson Centenary Air Race in 1934 alongside Owen Cathcart-Jones. A.L.S., Ken Waller, one page, 4to, Lympne Airport, Kent, 14th April 1935, to Miss [Eileen] Cond, on the attractive blue printed stationery of the Cinque Ports Flying Club. Waller thanks his correspondent for her letter and sends his autograph as requested. Tape stains to the upper and lower edges, not affecting the text or signature; Peggy Salaman (1912-     ) Jewish English Pilot who, at the age of 19, set a record flight from England to Cape Town in 1931, accompanied by Gordon Store. A.L.S., Peggy Salaman, one page, 8vo, Hyde Park, London, 13th December n.y., to Peggy Cond. Salaman thanks her correspondent for their letter of congratulations and continues 'Mr. Store is in Kimberley, so I can not get his autograph for your collection. I enclose a snap shot (no longer present) of the lion cubs and myself. I had Juba and Joker in the plane from Juba to Kimberley, the distance is 2,705 miles'. G to generally VG, 6

Signed 6 x 8 photograph depicting Moore in a three quarter length pose kissing the Jules Rimet trophy following England's victory in the World Cup final at Wembley Stadium on 30th July 1966. In the immediate background the England players Jack Charlton and Geoff Hurst can be seen. Signed by Moore in blue ink to the image and also signed by Geoff Hurst at the head of the image (Hurst's signature with poor contrast). A couple of very slight, minor corner creases, otherwise VG

An avid sportsman, Stanley is famous in North America for presenting Canada with the Stanley Cup, the annually awarded Ice Hockey Championship trophy. D.S., Fred Stanley, one page, folio, St. James's Palace, London, 30th April 1878. The partially printed document is a military commission appointing William Henry Fife to be an Adjutant in the Yeomanry Forces. Signed by Stanley at the foot in his capacity as Secretary of State for War and countersigned by Prince George, Duke of Cambridge (1819-1904) Commander-in-Chief of the Forces 1856-95. With a pale blue blind embossed paper seal affixed. Partially mounted to a folio page removed from an album. With light age wear, otherwise VG
