A CREAM-PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT CONSOLE TABLE in the manner of Robert Adam, the satinwood top painted with a circular mythological medallion, suspended from ribbon-tied bows with scrolling leafy foliage issuing from the sides and enclosed by a green painted border with swags, anthemia and paterae, the frieze with a musical trophy and a running band of oak leaves and acorns, on panelled square tapering legs, carved with oval paterae, joined by shaped stretchers with a central flaming urn finial and ending in carved hoof feet, 41.75" wide . Provenance: The Hoare Family and thence by descent The overall form of this table relates to Thomas Sheraton's "The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing Book", published 1793, plate IV from the appendix - Pier Tables.

A late 18th century continental cavalry sword, curved shallow fullered blade 35”, with narrow back fuller, etched on both sides with trophy of arms and instruments, mounted dragoon and stylized hanging basket device, plain steel crossguard, knucklebow, cap shaped pommel and backstrap. Basically GC (grip replaced, some age wear and light pitting to blade).
A WWI period German made Turkish officer’s sword, curved shallow fullered blade 31”, etched on both sides with star, Man in the Moon, 2 stars, trophy of arms, etc, 2 stars and Turks head at forte, brass hilt with crossguard quillon and langets (device removed from front langet) pronounced knucklebow plain forward sloping pommel and backstrap with langets, wierbound leather grip, with buff knot, in its darkened scabbard with brass bands and rings. GC (blade repaired at point)
