This car was registered in August 2005 and has had two previous registered keepers from new. Its MoT is valid until April 2023. The mileage is circa 53,000. The car presents well inside and out. The history folder includes the V5C and the combined owner's handbook/service book, which is stamped up to 15,182 miles in October 2007. dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: France, Curved and grooved blade with fullers, engraved with the writing 'GARDE DU CORPS DU ROI' between lilies on the right side, with a trophy and 'B' marks between laurels, and 'B' under star a crowned emblem with three lilies and another trophy the left side. Bronze hilt with remains of gilding. The guard with a crowned shield and three lilies on flags, all in relief. Hilt with leather covering and copper wire binding. Iron scabbard with two lugs and brass cap with remains of gilding. length 106,5 cm.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Papal States, Straight, double-edged blade, with a fuller featuring several piercing at the forte; the rest of the blade grooved at the center. Gilt-bronze hilt, the valve with trophy in relief. Guard with floral decorations. Checkered ebony grips. The front one with a rhombus-shaped plaque (small if compared to the slot) engraved with a flaming grenade. Leather scabbard with gilt and engraved metal mounts. length 88 cm.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Naples, Smoothbore, two-stage, 17 mm cal barrel, octagonal at the first part and with the Royal Factory mark and 'DP' mark under the crown among gold-inlaid crosses and lilies, then round after a ring and acanthus leaves; finely engraved tang; partially engraved lock converted to percussion. Wooden full stock (small missing part) with checkered butt and engraved iron mounts in the style of the Empire, trigger guard with a beautiful trophy of arms, the butt-plate decorated in a similar way. Belt hook. Horn-tipped, wooden ramrod (small missing parts) with iron cartridge extractor. length 31 cm.

KLENGEL OBRISTER' at the centre, all on blued background, blued, adjustable rear-sight and gilt foresight; tang decorated en suite; beautiful lock, inside wheel covered by a polychrome enamelled disk depicting trophies, flat plate engraved and gilt with warrior, trophies and floral motifs, the hammer and the plate at the same level, pan cover with spring button hidden behind a flower; dark, walnut full stock, decorated with finely engraved bone plaques, at the counter-plate the effigy of a war camp, soldier with war mace and halberd near a cannon among curls and flowers; at the left side another warrior over a large trophy, at the base tents and cannon; another trophy at the right, bone patchbox cover with trophy, more small plaques at the nozzle; semi-clear, smooth butt-plate, anatomic iron trigger guard, pierced, gilt iron base, leaf-shaped trigger, set trigger. Bone-tipped wooden ramrod with iron base. Some restorations. The name W.C.V. Klengel Obrister on the barrel corresponds to the name of the owner of this beautiful rifle. An Obrister (Oberster Feldhauptmann) was chief of a regiment of 4000/5000 soldiers in the 16th Century Germany. Wolf Caspar von Klengel (Dresden 8h of June 1630 - 10th of January 1691) was architect and engineer with the grade of artillery colonel. Klengel is considered as a founder of the Saxonian baroque architecture and was art-historically a most important Saxonian architect of the 17th Century. He was upper agriculture master and upper supervisor of the civilian and military buildings under the Saxonian cure prince Johann George II. Literature: 'Wolf Caspar von Klengel' by Günter Passavant, Deutscher Kunstverlag München, 2001.The weapon is attributed to Christian Herold, gunsmith of Prince Johann George II of Saxony. The Dresden Museum keeps other weapons by the gunsmith. The Dresden Armory keeps also an armour which used to belong to Wolf Caspar von Klengel. length 116 cm.

Lock converted to percussion with forward spring engraved with flowers, hemmer with fish. Wooden full stock slightly sculpted and with filigree inlays (small missing parts). Beautiful silver mounts in relief depicting trophies, crescent moon, lion's head and floral motifs. Wooden ramrod, with no tip, with iron cartridge extractor. length 36 cm.

dating: about 1710 provenance: Austria, Long, round, smoothbore, 15 mm cal barrel, with square base and rib provided with front sight, gold decorations all over its length, the base with a warrior on a trophy and two dragons underneath, the rib with a garland of floral motifs, the nozzle decorated with a warrior on a trophy similar to the one on the base, parts of the original browning; iron tang decorated en suite and provided with sight. Flintlock battery with golden-brass plate, engraved with a mask and flowers on a granulated background, iron cock, spring, and batterie, the cock decorated en suite. Long, lightly carved, beautiful wooden stock (restorations) with beautiful gilded-bronze (50% gold) mounts richly engraved with crossed bands and floral motifs, pierced counter-plate with a large mask at the center, pierced escutcheon surmounted by a mask, horn fore-end cap. Horn-tipped, wooden ramrod. See a pair of similar pistols, same length and brass plate, in the Draeger collection, sold at Sotheby's on 7th December 1987 in Munich, lot 178, plate 83. length 54.5 cm.
