A well-constructed desk-top display model of the Supermarine S.6B ‘S1595’, flown by Flt Lt J.N.Boothman at Calshot in 1931, winning the Schneider Trophy outright for Great Britain at a speed of 340.08mph; later on 29th September 1931, Flt Lt G.H. Stainforth flew this same aircraft at a world record speed of 407.5mph; the model finished in silver over blue, with frame number on fin, the wire-braced wings on the strut- and wire-braced twin floats, with rotating propeller, 17.5 inch (44.5cm) wingspan.
