Collection of toys, with interesting provenance, originally belonging to a little girl who was resident in The Tower of London (her father was a Beefeater), includes: Armand Marseille bisque antique doll, German, c1900-38, impressed 390 A 9 M, blue weighted eyes, open mouth, wood and composition ball jointed body, requires re-assembly, 26"/66cm- NB Comes with letter of provenance: "Hello, This sad doll has seen happier days. She belonged to a little girl who was born, christened and lived in The Tower of London. Her father was a Yeoman of the Guard, a Beefeater, and his name was William Auton Coles, and with his wife Agnes, the three of them lived in 1 Byward Tower. The name of this little girl was Violet Amy Muriel Auton Coles- she was my mother, I am her daughter. I hope someone will take the time and expertise, to give this once loved doll, a new lease of life, and be enjoyed once again, with kind thoughts." Plus some antique / vintage children's tea services, includes blue and white china, pink pastel coloured, some damage, incomplete; a composition baby doll, 5"/13cm; bisque shoulder head doll, 6"/15cm; wooden and wicker doll's house furniture; (qty).
