A late Victorian Stourbridge crystal ‘Old English’ weight inkwell probably by Richardsons. The circular footed base rising to a domed body with shallow collar and roll neck set with a conforming domed stopper, the pair both detailed with concentric cog murrine canes in mixed pastel palette within the clear crystal body, height 6.25’.

The sitter was the daughter of Charles John Clavering. In 1820 she married James Buller-Fullerton-Elphinstone as his first wife.
