Pastel drawing Cinzia Bonada ARBA (xx) "The Little Dancer", signed and dated `92, lower right, 22 x 24cm Born in Jersey during the Second World War, escaped to the mainland on a collier with her family. After the war she returned to Jersey and began ballet training at the Jersey Ladies College. Had a successful ballet career notably in Monte Carlo. Travelled extensively - during this period began to paint and draw.

Peter Welton (b1933-) ABSTRACT COMPOSITION signed and dated `65 pastel and pencil 43 x 68.5cms; 17 x 27in. Peter Welton was educated at Leeds, King`s College, Newcastle, and University of Durham, studying under Victor Pasmore, Lawrence Gowing, Richard Hamilton and Quentin Bell. After serving in the RAF he became a Professor of Fine Art and exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions including the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle in 1963, University of Durham Gallery 1976 and Chesil Gallery, Portland 1985. He is author of many articles and three books and is currently Emeritus Professor of Fine Art at De Montfort University, Leicester.
