Born in Middlesborough and studied at Cleveland and Byam Shaw College of Art, London. Set-up the Arthaus Gallery in Richmond, North Yorkshire in 1990. His works are associated with a principle of ‘Art from the Heart’-combining tenderness with fervency through his stylised pictures of children and animals. An auction record of 9000 was paid for his work The Family at Tennants in 2009.
