Charlie Shiels (British, 1947-2012) - 'The Clown' Pastel, signed, approx. 66x44cm, framed. NB: Charlie Shiels was born in Stockport and lived in Manchester. He lectured in art and design at Stockport College of Further Education, later to become Senior Lecturer. Charlie had a one man exhibition at The Blythe in Manchester, The Union Gallery in Chelsea, and The Woolff Gallery in Shoreditch, London. Charlie also produced commissioned work for BBC Publications, London Underground (poster design), Corgi Books, Marks & Spencer and numerous others.
