John Wesley Carroll (American, 1892-1959 ) Original Chalk Pastel Female Portrait (Untitled) Circa late 19th/Early 20th century, large portrait of young female subject, her dark hair pinned in loose chignon, rose pink silk drapery finished with a yellow rose corsage to her décolletage. Rendered in soft chalk pastel on Bristol paper, Signed to bottom left, very good condition, framed and mounted under glass, 23 x 17 inches.

A Royal Crown Derby bone china paperweight, modelled as a duck, gold stopper, 12cm long, a set of six Royal Crown Derby china fluted teacups and saucers, each decorated in a different pastel colour and with gilt highlights, cups 6.5 by 6cm, saucers 12.5cm, and two Crown Staffordshire coffee cans and saucers, green striped with roses, F9403. ROY PETLEY "The picnic", chalk, pastel on paper, signed lower right and bears a "David Messum Fine Art" paper label verso CONDITION REPORTS 68cm tall by 61cm wide and yes it is framed. Condition appears to be good, some smudging lower left though this may be part of the original design. Some signs of what appears to be mildew beneath the glass on the mount particularly to the bottom left but in several areas all the way around. Frame guilded and modern with signs of surface ware again part of the original design.
