1972 Proto Flyte Kestrel Make: Proto Flyte Model: Kestrel Year: 1972Mileage: 628VIN: 1122283095Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: XTT395KTransmission: manThe Proto Flyte Kestrel was a retro-looking kit car based on the VW Beetle and manufactured by Carisma Cars in Sandy, Bedfordshire. It's believed that only 15 were ever made; how many survive isn't known. This one, in a very distinctive Pastel Green and overall very good condition, is based on a 1972 Volkswagen Beetle, registered in February of that year. It has a period interior fitted, with wooden dash (albeit retaining the single Beetle main gauge) and the engine has been upgraded to 1641cc (in 2021). The chassis has also been rebuilt, and the car comes with hood and frame as well as its rear tonneau. The paperwork folder includes the V5C comprehensive build documentation including bills, some recent work invoices and pictures of the original donor car and other Kestrels.
