Follower of John Russell (18th/19th century) "Cupid and the Broken Bow"] Extensively inscribed on an old label verso, pastel drawing, 66cm by 49cm (26in by 19 1/4in) *Originally purchased by the present vendor's grandfather, Mr Owen March, in about 1870 from some French refugees who were then living in Penmaenmawr. The picture is said to have been examined by an art historian on the 15th August 1958, who said it could possibly be a copy after Francois Boucher or Fragonard. *Contained within an 18th century carved giltwood frame, decorated with acorns and foliage, a floral motif in each corner
