A George III silver caddy spoon, London 1813 acorn pattern, maker Joseph Ash I, together with a horseshoe shaped caddy spoon, Birmingham 1807, maker Cocks and Bettridge and another Victorian London 1844 maker Robert Wallace (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The caddy spoon with acorns engraved into the bowl has had a bent handle at some point and is still slightly twisted. When turning the spoon upside down there is also some slight distortion to the bowl, this is only very minor. The acorn shaped spoon is in good order with no issues. The horseshoe shaped spoon also has a bent handle and is very slightly distorted.
A 19th century rosewood and brass inlaid sarcophagus shaped tea caddy, raised on claw and ball feet with lion mask handles to either side opening to the fitted interior with two brass inlaid lift out boxes and a glass bowl (AF) the lid lined with ruffled velvet. Height 22 cm, width 34 cm, depth 16 cm (see illustration).
Late 19th Century domed top tea caddy of walnut inlaid with mother of pearl and Tunbridgeware style stringing, the hinged top, with brass lock, opening to reveal two lidded compartments (H 14.5cm, L 23cm, D 12.5cm), together with an early 20th century Birdseye Maple veneered musical cigarette box (H 8cm, L 19.5cm, 11cm) and a 19th century black lacquered papier mache snuff box, the hinged lid inlaid with floral pattern (L 6cm). Along with an early 19th Century Deception Glass of typical form with bladed knop to stem (height 11cm) together with a silver plated pedestaled fruit bowl with swing handle (diameter 23cm, height to rim 9.5cm). A papier mache image snuff box and two bone spoons, the circular box with a head and shoulders male figure wearing a hat which when rotated turns into a woman's head with bonnet, loss of decoration to side and general wear, 5.7cms dia., a 19th Century bone caddy spoon, and a continental bone spoon with flower and leaf pierced finial, 14cms. A Georgian mahogany tea caddy with three divisions raised on bracket feet. 24cm wide, together with a further 19th century coromandel writing slope with a worn interior, 30cm wide and a 19th century rosewood tea caddy with two caddy’s and a mixing bowl together with a rosewood box with mother of pearl inlay.
An interesting miscellaneous collection: Chinese and other object d’art to include a caddy flask with decorative figural vignettes, four various Thai Sawankhalok stoneware vessels, a bowenite jade figure of Guanyin, a hard stone figure of a seated Thai Buddha, carved soapstone monkey groups, cast metal opium weights, an opium pipe, small blue and white teapot, a Russian lacquered box and a shell inlaid presentation box, a walnut parquetry inlaid box and a brass vessel.
