A Victorian Silver Tea-Caddy, by William Gibson and John Lawrence Langman, London, 1893, Retailed by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co. Ltd., tapering oblong and on four ball feet, the corners incurved and fluted, the hinged cover with ebonised handle, engraved with a crest12.5cm wide, gross weight 10oz 4dwt, 318grFully marked on side and further part marked inside cover. The base stamped with retailers name. There is some wear to the marks on the side, though each is still legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The finial leans slightly. Rocks slightly when placed on a flat surface.

The lid on the teapot and sugar-bowl don't close completely flush.
