An Ebonised Striking Table Clock, circa 1820, caddy pediment, pierced sound frets, 8-inch painted dial inscribed Handley & Moore, London, twin fusee movement with an anchor escapement and striking on a bell, 46cm high 13.12.18, Case has been re-ebonised, later caddy top and top finial, later front metal mounts, later block feet, silks are stained to the sound frets, later painted dial with small scratches and minor chips around the winding holes, signs of soldering repair marks to the front hinge, later front door key escutcheon and a later piece of wood added around the key hole, veneers with small cracks, movement is dirty, later seatboard.
