A VICTORIAN SILVER TEA CADDY AND A SILVER WINE FUNNEL (2)The tea caddy of cylindrical form, with partly fluted decoration and with a pull-off lid, height 10.5cm, London 1893, the George III wine funnel, London 1791, combined weight 201 gmsCondition Report; The Caddy; scratch to the body runs through the top of part of the fluting and also at the top section, otherwise a few dents, there is a dent to the fluting of the detachable cover. Scratched jeweller's code marks to the underside. 1cm above the bottom of the base, there is a solder join that runs right the way round, we are undecided as to whether this is a repair or as originally madeThe wined funnel, top section; slight wear to the marks, a few dents towards the front, also at the back below the hallmark. The bottom section; the lip has been trimmed off at the bottom, the maker's mark looks to be over struck on a previous mark, the lion next to it is upside down

A GEORGE II MAHOGANY BACHELOR'S CHEST OF DRAWERS CIRCA 1750 The caddy moulded top above a tooled leather inset brushing slide 79cm high, 76.5cm wide, 47cm deep Condition Report: Overall there are some scratches, marks, knocks, cracks, abrasions and minor repairs consistent with age and use.The top has some scratches, pitting and cracks.Some splits/pronounced joints including to the sides and bracket feet.The back with a later dark wash.Some later timber repairs, blocks and braces including to the feet, underside and back.There is some old worm.The slide with a gilt tooled leather inset that pulls out without pegs holding it fast.There is one key that operates the top drawer. Some repairs to the oak drawer linings. The locks are later and the markings around the inside of the handle fixings suggest that the escutcheons and handles could be later though there are no signs of shadowing or other holes from previous handles.Please see the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition. A GEORGE II MAHOGANY SIDE OR CHAMBER TABLE CIRCA 1740 The caddy moulded top with re-entrant corners above a drawer with original 'bats wing' handle 71cm high, 56cm wide, 45cm deep This table of rare small size relates to 'chamber tables' with columnar legs, supplied around 1730 for the bedroom apartments at Houghton Hall, Norfolk (A, Moore, Houghton Hall, London, 1996, no.8, p.92). Condition Report: Table with the minor marks, knocks scratches, chips and abrasions consistent with age and use. Metalware appears original. No key is present but lock is open.Some later blocks to the interior of the carcass - see images.Some opening to the boards of the base of the drawer. Old repaired split to one rear corner of the frieze. This is neatly executed and only visible upon close inspection. Some very minor isolated evidence of old worm - see images for extent.
