With caddy form top over conforming boxwood banded doors to front and rear and glazed apertures to sides standing ogee bracket feet.

Tortoiseshell tea caddy, circa 1830, the pagoda top revealing two lidded compartments, over a fluted front on bun feet, width 15cm. Condition Report: The tortoiseshell is somewhat sun-bleached to the back and sides; the tortoiseshell has chipped off on the corners of the skirt and the lid with some other losses. The interior tinning is 50 - 60% good; one of the ivory strips on the lid is missing; the hinges are not secure in the lid.
