A silver tea caddy, S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd, Birmingham 1927, of canted rectangular form, the two division interior with covers engraved 'India' and 'China', engraved 'Jay's Brighton' to base, 10.5cm high, weight 10.6ozt along with a George III silver caddy spoon, George Nangle, London 1801, 8cm long, a Garrard and Co silver bowl, London 1926, the pedestal two handled bowl decorated with a simple stylised floral band, 8 cm high, 4.8ozt and a silver tea strainer and stand, G W Lewis & Co, Birmingham 1943, 4cm high, weight 1.7ozt (5)
An early 19th Century rosewood and boullework style brass inlaid rectangular tea caddy, the hinged top opening to reveal two lidded canisters flanking associated glass bowl, the brass lock stamped "Bramah, 104 Piccadilly", 33 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Surface knocks, bumps and scratches. Lid has the front right corner section missing. A repair 0.5 x 0.5cm back right corner of lid, and also small sliver missing. Front left corner of lid also has section missing down side of edge, and to left side also. Front edge of lid has small sliver missing, and a repair to lid front right corner 2 x 1cm approx which appears to have been professionally carried out. Couple of deeper scratches running along the back. Slightly dirty. Rubbing to brassware. Interior has some cracking to veneers. Bowl fits well but may possibly be a replacement as it is quite loose in the box. The two side boxes - foil lining missing completely, within the grain there is cleaning residue. In used but well cared for condition generally.
A pair of George III silver mustard spoons, the shovel shaped bowls with feather edged handles, bearing ownership initials "EL" (possibly by Stephen Adams I, one spoon bearing maker's stamp and lion passant, the other 2 x maker's stamp), together with a modern caddy spoon with shell bowl and shell handle (by A Marston & Co., Birmingham 1972), 1.30 oz
A George III silver tea caddy of oval form with engraved decoration, the rising lid with loop handle and beaded and guilloche engrave decoration, the front inscribed with initials "J W" within a medallion, raised on a circular foot (by James Young, London 1784), 12.6 cm high, 12.96 oz (lock missing) CONDITION REPORTS Surface scratches throughout. One or two dints / knocks to the body. Some rubbing to the decoration, particularly to back top edge near where lid joins base, it has at some point had a repair to this area. Decoration is almost completely worn away, including above key area on body. Overall in used condition. Lid does not quite sit flat to one side. Has a quite crude additional inscription to the base (indistinct) plus number "N1144" (possibly an inventory number).
