An 18th Century Longcase with 30 hour movement by William Winston Hereford (Circa 1770). The single-hand 10 inch (25.5 cm) square brass dial having a silvered chapter ring encircling a silvered centre engraved with sailing boats & a small tower, and signed William Winston Hereford. The corners adorned with scrolling Rococo spandrels. The case having a caddy top hood surmounted by a stepped finial, with integral pillars flanking the hood door. Standing on a moulded plinth base 86½ ins (220 cms) in height.
