An unusual late 19th century tea caddy, mounted with specimen marble, the rosewood interior with burrwood geometric inlaid decoration, 31 cm wide See inside front cover colour illustration Condition report Report by RB Overall, in good condition, generally dirty to the exterior, some minor/occasional chips, mostly to edges and corners, the back is plain grey veined marble, to the side, on the left, the lower section of marble is detached (adhesive poor), the interior with two hinged compartments and cut glass mixing bowl (probably original), rosewood and geometric inlay generally good. Report by NG The mixing bowl has wear to base, and a couple of small chips to the rim. The lock plate is stamped Patent and looks contemporary to the caddy.
