A Regency amboyna and conch shell inlaid canted rectangular tea caddy, the hinged top opening to reveal two lidded canisters 19 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Wear, scuffs, fading. Drying cracks throughout, and some losses to the veneers. Some lifting to veneers. Some small fillered areas. Interior linings mostly worn/flaked away. The 'reeded pilaster' effect on the front canted corners is shaded marquetry inlay. Overall appears to be of good quality but requires a little attention.

Drying cracks and warping to veneers. Losses to veneers. Chips and lifting to stringing and veneers. Losses and scratches. Catch appears to have been altered and wood lining appears to be later. Losses to escutcheon. Underside of base may also have had alterations (see photos). Overall in need of restoration.
