A satinwood crossbanded tea caddy of George III design, the hinged lid enclosing one large lidded compartment flanked by brass drop handles and raised on brass ball and claw feet, of 20th century construction incorporating some earlier elements, height 17cm, width 30.5cm, depth 15cm. CONDITION REPORT: A few old repairs to the stringing and crossbanded, general surface wear throughout.
An early Victorian rosewood and mother of pearl inlaid tea caddy of sarcophagus form, the hinged lid enclosing two rosewood lidded compartments with ring loop handles and turned bun feet, height 15cm, width 20cm, depth 12cm. CONDITION REPORT: Light surface scratches throughout, two small areas of repair to the mother of pearl, in good condition.
A 19th century plum pudding mahogany and amboyna domed two division tea caddy, height 18cm, width 19.5cm depth 12cm, also a Victorian walnut and brass detailed two division tea caddy (2). CONDITION REPORT: The first tea caddy has an amboyna but mahogany body so possibly associated, the interior has no lid, the lid has been re-strung and is in a tired state requiring restoration replacements to veneers to the side of the box with flecks missing to the lower portions and the four bun brass feet are replacement, the walnut box retains a good colour, has two lidded interior compartments and just has general surface wear and tear.
WILLIAM EATON; a set of Victorian hallmarked silver double struck Queen's pattern spoons comprising four tablespoons, five dessert spoons, London 1844, and a caddy spoon, 1843, all initialled 'M', approx 22ozt (10). CONDITION REPORT: Caddy spoon bowl dented and misshapen, several other bowls dented, primarily the smaller spoons, general wear and tear throughout.
A late George III mahogany and inlaid square sectioned tea caddy having the unusual feature of turned wooden mouldings to the underside of the lid and raised on four brass turned feet, height 11.5cm, width 12.5cm, depth 10.5cm, a Hungarian ash and amboyna box, two mahogany square sectioned tea caddies and shell inlaid square sectioned caddy (5). CONDITION REPORT: Old repairs throughout, all rather altered and with Heath Robinson repairs, all lacking interior lids, in various states of disrepair.
LEE & WIGFULL; a Victorian hallmarked silver tea caddy of shaped rectangular form with repoussé foliate scroll decoration, on four scrolling feet, Sheffield 1896, approx 9.1ozt. CONDITION REPORT: The shelf finial and section where it joins the lid has been dented so the finial is now at an angle and there is a dent where it joins the lid, further dents throughout including to some of the concave panels to the upper section, further scratches, nicks and gouges, general wear and tear, stand with a slight wobble on a flat surface.
A George III mahogany tea caddy, the hinged lid with central brass carrying handle now fitted with a pen tray and three square apertures and raised on moulded bracket feet, height 17.5cm, width 24cm, depth 14cm. CONDITION REPORT: Two small areas of staining to the top, general surface scratches and knocks throughout, the interior is altered.
Four variously hallmarked silver items comprising a jockey's cap shaped caddy spoon with vacant cartouche, Francis Howard, Sheffield 1981, a thimble, Charles Horner, Chester 1917, size 7, in mother of pearl and tortoiseshell case, a scallop moulded slide napkin clip, maker's initials CP, London 2000 and a mother of pearl bodied pen knife, Harrison Bros, Sheffield 1895, weighable approx 0.76ozt (4). CONDITION REPORT: The caddy spoon and napkin clip both appear to be in good condition. The thimble with areas of tarnishing to the incised parts, with hole to the top, the case with surface wear and areas of crude regluing, areas of chips. The knife in good condition with scratches to the blade and minor areas of tarnish, minor surface wear and dirt.
A circa 1900 German oak cased mantel clock with caddy top above brass base with circular dial, height 48cm including turned finials (af). CONDITION REPORT: One of the hands is broken off and there is a finial missing, we cannot guarantee that the clock is in working order, areas of losses, general surface wear, missing front door hook.
An early Victorian rosewood tea caddy of sarcophagus form, the hinged lid enclosing two rosewood veneered lidded tea boxes, central associated glass bowl, ring loop carrying handle and lobed feet, with beaded moulded detail throughout, height 24cm, width 35, depth 17.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Retains a good colour, light surface wear and tear throughout with a few small dents and flecks to veneer.
An early Victorian coromandel and mother of pearl inlaid tea caddy of sarcophagus form, the hinged lid enclosing two dome coromandel lidded tea boxes with central reservoir set with associated bowl, ring loop carrying handles and turned bun feet, height 22cm, width 35cm, depth 20cm. CONDITION REPORT: Retains a good colour throughout, some tiny areas of loss to the mother of pearl and light surface scratches and knocks to the edges but overall a good example.
