The interior caddies are both in good condition although part of the original lead lining has perished. The interior caddy lids hinge on a pin. The right hand caddy has one missing pin. The top if not warped. The main body of the caddy is of good colour with no issues.

Lot 1181

A pair of Edwardian mahogany caddy top drawer and cupboard pedestals, raised on carved paw feet. Width 41 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both pedestals are in generally very good order with no issues. They could be used in their current state without the need for any repairs or restoration. There is no evidence of any woodworm or any old significant repairs that we can see. In our opinion the pedestals have not been adapted from another piece of furniture (namely a sideboard). The only minor issue is that both pedestals have stress fractures down the timber join on one side. One has significant discolouring either side of this join and on the same side there is one small veneer loss. The second pedestal has less discolouring down the stress fracture.
