A GEORGE III SATINWOOD TEA CADDY. of octagonal form, the hinged lid and panels painted with flowers and a parrot, the interior with foil lining remnants and knopped lid, height 11cm, width 15cm, depth 9cm; together with the original enamel caddy spoon, decorated with flowers to a cream ground, 6.5cm. *CR Caddy - Scratches and marksCaddy spoon - pitting to handle, minor wear to rim.
A CHINESE CELADON INK POT ON HARDWOOD STAND, AND A TEA CADDY. Including a Chinese celadon seal paste box, of square shape with canted corners and a Dragon motif to the lid, bearing character marks to the base (5cms square). Also with an early 20thc tea caddy, brightly painted with vases of flowers to each side (12cms high). Both with wooden stands, the caddy with a wooden lid (not original). (2) *Provenance, formally owned by Lieutenant Commander Henry Radcliffe James, who lived at Edgeworth Manor near Stroud, and has passed through the family. *CR Box, seems generally fine, small very small firing cracks to the footrim (from manufacture). Stand, one foot has been repaired.Caddy, lid not original, tiny flea bites down the edges (very minor), some chips to the raised decoration on each side (foliage border). Stand, generally fine - small chip to the pierced base (T section), lid - small slither out of the base of the lid.
A GEORGE III LATE 18TH CENTURY TABLE CLOCK BY E HARVEY, BRENTWOOD. the 6 3/4" dial inscribed E Harvey, Brentwood, with pierced C-scroll mounts, silvered chapter ring, Strike/Silent dial and date aperture, the eight day movement striking half hourly to a bell, the caddy top case with brass carrying handle and finials, with pendulum and winder, height 51cm, width 26cm, depth 20cm *The clock was probably made by Eleanor Harvey who is recorded in Baillie G H Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World as working in Brentwood after the death of her husband John in 1772. *CR Requires servicing i.e. runs but does not strike, section of moulding missing to base and other minor losses, small split to front of case, two finials re-gilded, needs a clean.
