A late Victorian satinwood tea caddy, of sarcophagus form, having rosewood crossbanding, fitted interior of two lidded canisters flanking centre glass mixing bowl, and with brass double-lever lock, w.35cmCondition report: Stands well.Hinges good.Colour excellent.Caddies both excellent and fit well.Mixing bowl is replacement.Some minor scuffs and surface scratches.Lock with key and fully operational.Overall a very good example.

Lid fits ok. Stands firm and does not rock. Dent to one corner at the shoulder. A few small dents and general wear commensurate with age. In generally good condition.

The case is very dark and textured like it has been burnt. Caddy has no key. Bowl missing inside. Cannisters fit well.

A 19th century mahogany sarcophagus form tea caddy with twin ring handles, on four bun feet, the three section interior complete with two lidded compartments and cut glass mixing bowl, height 20cm, length excluding handles 34cm, depth 17.5cm.Additional InformationDoes not quite sit flat on an even surface, some wobble, some exteriors scuffs, scrapes commensurate with age and use. Further light general wear to interior. There is a chip to the foot of the mixing bowl, which while probably original, is a reasonably good fit.
