A Chinese silver, enamel, gemstone and jade tea caddy 20th century, of square form with gilt interior, the base impressed `Silver`, the sides with shaped square panels with peonies and foliage in shaded blue enamel amidst scrolling tendrils, within conforming borders set with polished semi-precious stones, all on a silver mesh ground, the lid with conforming decoration and centred with a carved and pierced pale celadon jade medallion, possibly depicting a stylised beetle, signed with two raised Chinese characters, 3¼in. (21cm.) x 5½in. (14cm.), 5¾in. (14.5cm.) high, minor losses from veneers.
