A Meissen composite porcelain part tea and coffee service, circa 1740, of quatrelobe form with gilt decoration, comprising; tea pot, coffee pot, tea caddy raised on three branch scroll feet, two tea cups, saucers and coffee cups, together with a leaf shaped sugar box and cover with a branch and flower finial. Note: The service was given by repute from the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria to Countess Charlotte Sophie of Aldenburg, thence by descent to Charlotte Frances Bentinck, Lady Milnes, to which an enclosed note refers.
