A George III rectangular tea caddy, probably goncalo alves, inlaid with boxwood stringing, some damage, 30.5cm wide x 15cm deep x 15.5cm highLacking mixing bowl and tinning worn away on canisters. Case lacking some stringing, including 6cm, 4cm and 2cm on top. Top with some hairline cracks and slightly warped.

A Trinity House marquetry tea caddy, third quarter 19th century, the rectangular figured walnut box with a marquetry panel to the cover depicting clippers with a lighthouse in the distance, above birds eye maple panels to the four sides, opening to a central circular aperture and two lidded compartments, 13cm H x 28cm W x 17cm D Note: Trinity House marquetry boxes were made between 1850-1880 by lighthouse keepers to be sold through Trinity House Service.Condition reportMinor fading light marks and surface scratches to the cover and sides, commensurate with age and use. Fine split to the underside of the box running the full depth of the box under the baize liner, screw holes to the underside of the box in each corner where feet have been positioned. Small chip to the escutcheon, minor split to the veneer on the RH side of the cover, 8cm long, tiny chip to the veneer on the cover above the escutcheon, some rubbing to the paper liner on the underside of the cover.
