The triangular hinged top with a raised rectangular panel inlaid with rosewood marquetry depicting a vase of blooms, the frieze inlaid with flowers enclosing two rosewood lidded compartments and a nineteenth century cut glass mixing bowl, facet and lozenge cut decoration, the front similarly inlaid with leaves and flowers, turned side handles raised upon compressed bun feet. 27.5x34x16cm.

A late George III or Regency tortoiseshell veneered and ivory banded tea caddy, circa 1810, of octagonal section, the hinged, domed and segmented cover with silver coloured metal acorn finial and metal stringing, the eight sides all with gothic arcading in pressed low relief, above a base with four spherical brass feet; the interior with subsidiary tortoiseshell veneered cover, 15cm high, 10.5cm wide Provenance: Ronald Phillips Ltd., 26 Bruton Street, London, from where the current vendor purchased the item.
