A George III harewood and kingwood cross-banded marquetry inlaid tea caddy of oval form, the hinged lidded top with birds on branches etched on to a satinwood oval disc, the body with marquetry inlay of birds upon a fruit laden tree with ivory pinched oval escutcheon, 14.25 cm x 12.75 cm CONDITION REPORTS Lid is slightly ill fitting, hinge is very "wobbly" and looks as if it may have had a repair to it at some point. The top of the box around the escutcheon looks to have been pressed inwards and the lock does not now work. There has also been a major repair around the lock and escutcheon. The veneer is starting to lift in various places. Various scratches, marks, scuffs, impressed marks etc throughout - general signs of wear and tear
A George III harewood and marquetry inlaid tea caddy of oval form, the hinged lidded top with marquetry inlay of a flower arrangement in a vase, the front with fruits on vine within a basket, the looped handle of the basket entwined with a tied bow encircling the escutcheon, with a twin compartmented interior, 15 cm x 11.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS The caddy is discoloured and faded all over, has some staining and has knocks and bumps and bruises as well as surface scratching all conducive with age and use. To the interior a piece of the rim is missing from the lid and from the base. The lids to the interior sections are present but fall to the bottom. The foiling is flaking all over. Key is present but not working. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. Appears to have been polished fairly recently.

A George III harewood and marquetry inlaid tea caddy of oval form, the hinged lidded top set with satinwood disc bearing marquetry floral and leaf spray decoration, the front with floral spray and bow, with a satinwood escutcheon, 14.5 cm x 11.75 cm CONDITION REPORTS The lid is slightly ill fitting and appears to be slightly smaller than the body. Hinge is very "wobbly", damage to the veneer around the hinge at the back and to the banding round to one of the pointed ends, also some damage to the veneer around the front edge. Paper to the interior is in poor condition, peeling, ripped etc. Split to the wood around the escutcheon. All over various scratches, scuffs, marks, impressed marks etc. All over general various signs of wear and tear throughout
A George III mahogany and marquetry inlaid dome top three section tea caddy, the dome top cross banded in ebony and box wood strung with central marquetry inlaid conch shell, the front marquetry inlaid with two conch shells set within a green stained oval, the top opening to reveal marquetry, cross-banding inlay to the lid interior and three mahogany and cross-banded lids with turned ivory handles, the whole raised on moulded brass paw feet, 24.75 cm x 17.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Has several knocks and bumps and blemishes to the exterior, some crazing to the varnish and paintwork. Hinges look to be replacements, foil is missing to some of the interior and loose in other sections. The internal lids are a little bit sticky. The whole box has a look of restoration about it, although sympathetically done. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. Feet appear to be slightly uneven and there is a slight rocking - see images for further details. No key is present.
A George III marquetry and kingwood cross-banded harewood tea caddy, the hinged lidded top with marquetry inlaid fan paterae set within an ebony and boxwood strung loop, the side panels with alternate oval disc inlays and razor shell satinwood inlay, 12.25 cm x 12 cm CONDITION REPORTS Has some losses to the inlay. Has been patched in various places. An escutcheon is a bit rough looking. The back section above the hinge is very discoloured compared to other sections although the whole caddy is discoloured. There are some areas of staining, scratches and small knocks all conducive with age and use. To the interior the foil is mainly gone and there appears to have been a repair to the back section of the lid where glue is evident. The knop from the top of the box is missing, has been filled in the top and there is a hole visible from the interior - it has a look of restoration about it. General wear and tear conducive with age and use to include splits, knocks, scratches etc. No key is present - see images for further details

The veneer has several splits to it and possible repairs. The escutcheon is split down the middle. There is a split to one side of the hinge and the hinge is a possible replacement. Foil is bubbling and flaking in various places. There is some damage to the inside rim of the lid, again, has a look of restoration about it - however, sympathetic. General wear and tear to include surface scratches, knocks, bumps etc all conducive with age and use - see images for further details. No key is present
