William IV and mostly Victorian Scottish silver fiddle pattern cutlery, comprising, gravy spoon, nine tablespoons, twenty-one dinner forks, sixteen dessert spoons, twelve dessert forks, three mustard spoons, two fish knives and a caddy spoon, mostly by James McKay, Edinburgh, 1842, other dates and maker's marks, 117oz, 3638g.
CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN PART TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE18TH/ EARLY 19TH CENTURY with peach-coloured bands decorated with fruiting vines, enclosing (rubbed) gilt monograms, comprising a covered tea pot, 14.5cm high; a covered coffee pot, 25cm high; a milk jug, 14cm high; a covered tea caddy, 14.5cm high; a slop bowl, 13.5 cm diam.; a covered sugar bowl, 13.5cm high; a plate, 20.5cm diam.; two plates, 19.5cm diam.; a large saucer dish, 15.5cm diam.; 13 tea bowls, 9cm diam.; 11 coffee cups, 6.5cm high; and 13 saucers, 14cm diam. A 19th century mahogany side table, with caddy top, single frieze drawer with brass drop handle and raised on tapered legs of square section. Width 55 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. The top is flat but does have some minor stress fractures to the timber. None of these are open or problematic. The moulded edge is in good condition all round. The drawer is in good order. The handle is probably original. The sides of the top both have minor veneer repairs. The stretcher and legs are probably later to the top. The top looks to be Regency period where as the base later Victorian/Edwardian.
An early 19th century Chinese lacquered tea caddy, circa 1810, complete with two lead canisters. Width 28 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There is a 12 cm fine crack from the front left hand corner to the centre and a further 10 cm split from the front right hand corner. There has been a repair to the front right hand corner. There is a further 4 cm split to the front left hand corner. There are surface scratches throughout the top. The edge at the rear of lid is rubbed. The underside shows that there has been a repair to the rear right hand side. There are small chips throughout the foot rim. The decoration around the side is rubbed but very much intact. The interior canisters are a little bashed around the rims but nothing too significant.
A 19th century French boule marquetry mantle clock, with two-train striking movement, the backplate stamped "A & N, Paris". Height 34 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The clock case is generally very dirty and dusty. The boule marquetry is generally in good order with no significant lifting and only very minor losses to the brass and tortoiseshell. There are no losses to the caddy top, the front or the right-hand sides. On the lower section of the left-hand side there are some very small pieces of brass missing. The movement winds on both trains and is currently ticking away and striking when advanced. The ceramic numeral markers are in good order with only slight discolouration on numeral 11. All brasswork is a little tarnished and dirty. The rear door is present and original.
A George III mahogany tea caddy, with brass handle to lid, open interior and raised on bracket feet. Width 25 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The caddy is structurally sound and of good uniform colour. The top handle appears to be original. The top is not warped. The rear left-hand veneered moulding is slightly lifted at the rear corner. The front edge to the base above the lock escutcheon has old losses to the cockbeading. These are so old that the edge is polished. The internal hinges are original. The lock and lockplate are missing. The main body and feet are all in good condition with no issues.
A GEORGE III SILVER CADDY SPOON, on a short coral handle, the shovel shaped bowl engraved to the reverse with cockerel crest and motto, maker George Knight, London 1817, length 7.5cm, together with a George III silver caddy spoon, on a mother of pearl handle, shovel shaped bowl with acorn and oak leaf decoration, maker William Pugh, Birmingham 1808, length 9.5cm (2) (condition: coral handled spoon has repaired split to top edge, a few dints/creases around scoop edge, the other spoon has largely rubbed marks, split at back of handle where mother of pearl joins the spoon)
A GEORGE III SILVER CADDY SPOON, bright cut foliate engraved handle and engraved initial 'C', maker IT, Birmingham 1801, length approximately 7cm and another George III silver caddy spoon, with pierced and bright cut bowl, engraved handle and initialled 'E.M.W.', maker IT Birmingham 1814, length approximately 8.5cm, approximate gross weight 0.4ozt, 14 grams, together with a George III rectangular vinaigrette, applied rose to hinged bright cut cover, worn gilt interior, silver scrolled grille, maker John Bettridge, Birmingham 1818, approximately 3.4cm x 2.5cm x 0.9cm, approximate weight 0.4ozt, 14 grams (3) (condition: vinaigrette is much used and has areas of wear to the engraving, the interior has very little gilding left, grille needs lifting out with the help of a tool, the 1801 caddy spoon has some nicks/dints to the rims)

AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY TORTOISESHELL AND MOTHER OF PEARL FOLIATE INLAID TEA CADDY, of bow front sarcophagus form, the hinged cover opening to reveal ivory trimmed edges, the two compartments with tortoiseshell covers, on four bun feet, in need of restoration, width 20.5cm x depth 13.5cm x height 15cm (condition: no key, left hand front and back corners of the cover are damaged, veneer missing to back right corner and along the back edge, escutcheon is missing, velvet inside lid replaced, small sections of ivory trim missing, cover knobs not matching, right hand side bottom edge has areas of missing veneer and knocks, some severe splits on back of caddy and lifting, back left corner knocked and losses, feet probably replacements, some pewter stringing lacking, some loose)
AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY TORTOISESHELL TEA CADDY, of sarcophagus form, horn, ivory and pewter stringing, rectangular plaque to lid, brass lion mask ring handles, the interior fitted with purple velvet lining, a central well for mixing bowl (vacant) and two tortoiseshell topped caddies with hinged covers, on four stamped brass lion paw feet, width 28cm x depth 13cm x height 16.5cm (condition: some losses to the ivory, few small splits to tortoiseshell around hinges, caddy covers have large losses)
AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY ROSEWOOD TEA CADDY, of sarcophagus form, brass shield escutcheon, the interior fitted with two covered caddies and a central mixing bowl well containing a later pressed glass dish, on four brass ball feet, width 28cm x depth 15cm x height 16cm, together with a Victorian burr walnut and inlaid work box, mother of pearl lozenge to top of box and escutcheon, re-lined interior, comes with a small quantity of needlework accessories, etc, with key, width 30cm x depth 22.5cm x height 12.5cm (2) (condition: caddy has horizontal split through the underside, work box has some fading, a circular patch filled on either side, interior relined)
