18th Century oak 8 day longcase clock marked 'John Whitfield, Clifton', the hood with caddy top above square aperture flanked by turned tapering columns, moulded arch waist door on a panel base with skirted support. Brass face with Roman and Arabic chapter ring ,date aperture and with foliate spandrels. Two train movement with baluster columns, striking on one bell. 11" square face. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Caddy top may be a later edition, overall appearing good with reasonable colour. The skirted base is probably also an addition. Pendulum and two weights.

A LATE VICTORIAN SILVER OVAL TEA CADDY AND COVER, with gadrooned borders and part lobed body, by Aitken Bros, Sheffield 1900, 8.5cm high; and another similar, plain tea caddy with reeded borders by Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater, London 1895, 8cm, 7oz overall (2) Condition report: both are in good condition overall, minor knocks and scratches. Marks are worn on the smaller one.

(3) Condition report: caddy spoon is in good condition. Scalloped one has engraved initial C to the handle. Condiment spoon has a bent handle.

Otherwise ok, sugar nips slightly wobbly on hinge
A SET OF THREE GEORGE III SILVER TEA CADDIES of rectangular bombe form, the covers with pinecone finials, on pierced and shaped feet, crested, by Daniel Smith and Robert Sharp, London 1770, contained in a fitted silver mounted tortoiseshell box, with domed top, the mounts pierced and engraved with crowned lions rampant and with foliate pierced angles and hasp, on claw and ball feet, central caddy 12.5cm high, 22oz overall, box 22.5cm wide Condition report: some old splits and cracks to the tortoiseshell, including to the back of lid by the hinge. Repair to the front right corner edge of the lid. The caddies have some small dents and knocks, and the lid of the largest is slightly depressed. Marks all clear.

Good overall, minor knocks and scratches. Lid doesn’t sit quite flat. Has engraved initials W.M both sides.
