An early George III pollard oak eight day longcase clock, the caddy top above 12 inch brass dial inscribed 'Foden, Congleton' with date arched aperture above long shaped door, rounded quarter pillars to a plinth base, height approx 210cm.Thomas Foden of Congleton is registered as working in the town between 1753 and 1785.Additional InformationThis is a good honest clock which has not had any repair over the years, apart from a couple of minor pieces of spliced wood to the carcass. It does however require attention, the wood on the right hand side of the plinth base has lifted, there is a split to both the base and the door. Some old signs of woodworm to the back panels which are heavily worn in parts. There are some knocks and small sections missing and done a long time ago to the upright pillars. The Dial movement and case look as if they have been together since day one. The clock is sold with winding key, case key, pendulum and two weights.
A Victorian mahogany inlaid sarcophagus tea caddy with bun feet, length 28cm.Additional InformationThere are some splits to the back of the caddy and a blister in the veneer, a small patch back left, some of the boxwood stringing has been lifted and replaced, small knock to the top, general surface wear and of course the interior has been completely changed.
A Victorian rosewood and birdseye maple inlaid two division sarcophagus tea caddy on bun feet, length 23cm.Additional InformationThe mother of pearl oval lozenge may or may not be a replacement to the lid, surface scratches as you would expect throughout, there is a small split to one side within the timber, a few tiny chips to the corners and the interior has both lids present but is perished as expected.
A Victorian rosewood sarcophagus form tea caddy with three section interior including glass bowl on four feet, width approx 42cm.Additional InformationRetains a good colour throughout, a few small knocks to the raised parts, especially on the corners, there is a small split to the back of the timber, a tiny slither of veneer missing to the back left, overall condition commensurate with age.

AN EARLY VICTORIAN MAHOGANY SINGLE DOOR DISPLAY CABINET, the caddy top above glazed sides and door with plain columns flanking astragal glazing and with foliate moulded arching to the top, the interior fitted with three stained pine shelves, on a shaped plinth base, height 167.5cm x width 97cm x depth 49.5cm, with key (condition: cabinet has been later fitted with lighting and has a strip light to the underside of each shelf, the key and lock work, the bottom left hand side of the cabinet has been housed against a damp wall and has patches of white bloom, veneer missing from a few places) Door does appear to be warped but we don’t have a key to see whether it stays inline when it is locked as it sits forward at the top and majority of way down
